Who We Are

Berea Baptist Church Hiddenite is an independent Baptist church located in Hiddenite, North Carolina. We are a congregation committed to honoring and glorifying God through expository preaching, intentional discipleship, and genuine community.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — our sole authority for faith and practice. Our services are centered on the worship of God and the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Whether you are a longtime believer or simply curious about the Christian faith, you are warmly welcome here. Come as you are.

Meet Our Pastor

Dr. Sheridan & Anita Stanton

Dr. Sheridan Stanton

Senior Pastor

Dr. Sheridan Stanton has served as the Senior Pastor of Berea Baptist Church Hiddenite with a heart for God's people and a commitment to faithful exposition of Scripture.

Prior to his ministry in Hiddenite, Dr. Stanton and his wife Anita served as missionaries in Peru for more than 20 years — sharing the gospel, planting churches, and discipling believers throughout South America.

Dr. Stanton is a Board Certified Christian Counselor and brings a pastor's heart to every dimension of his ministry, including one-on-one counseling, preaching, and community outreach. He and Anita are grateful to call Hiddenite home.
