Missions

Taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.

A Church With a Missionary Vision

Missions is in the DNA of Berea Baptist Church Hiddenite. Our Senior Pastor, Dr. Sheridan Stanton, and his wife Anita served as missionaries in Peru for over 20 years — planting churches, preaching the gospel, and discipling believers across South America.

That firsthand experience shapes how we think about the Great Commission. We believe every believer is called to be a witness — in Hiddenite, in North Carolina, and to the uttermost parts of the earth (Acts 1:8).

We actively pray for, support, and send missionaries. If you feel called to missionary service, we want to come alongside you.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

Matthew 28:19

How We Support Missions

Financial Support

We faithfully give a portion of our church budget to support missionaries serving around the world.

Prayer & Intercession

We regularly pray for our missionaries by name in our services, believing that prayer moves mountains.

Sending & Going

We are committed to sending from our own congregation — if God is calling you, we want to help equip and send you.

Local Outreach

Missions doesn't only happen overseas. We are committed to reaching our neighbors in Hiddenite and Alexander County with the gospel through personal evangelism, visitation, and community ministry.

If you have a heart for local outreach, we'd love for you to get involved. Contact us to learn about current opportunities.
